Finally I will be in a sport stadium!
One thing I long desired as a sport person and fan is to be in a stadium, watching a game LIVE!
It’s like how can you say you are a sport maniac but never a single time watching in a stadium!!
The atmosphere will be totally different from watching it from home!
This is it! (not MJ movie)
I’m going to watch ASEAN Basketball league this Sunday between Singapore Slingers and Satria Muda Indonesia!
(don’t ask me which one will I support hahahahaha)
If you haven’t booked your ticket, hurry open Sistic website and book yours!
See you there !!
*Thanks to Daphne, I am able to get ticket sponsored by Singapore Slingers yay!*
Awesome Jogja – Semarang Part 1
I will do this post in chronological order…. Like a travellog
02 October 2009 – Friday
Arrived safely at Jogjakarta. Thanks to Henry & Sophia’s family I didn’t have to find out how to go to my hotel. They also brought me to eat Ayam Goreng Suharti (Suharti Fried Chicken). It was yummy!! Lucky I still could behave hahaha.. At night I went Malioboro Street. I was quite surprised first because it was different from my imagination. I thought it was by the sea like Losari Beach at Makassar. There I managed to try lumpia and bought batik ^_^ There were many batik stores there and that time near the day UNESCO would officially recognize batik as Indonesia’s heritage!!

03 October 2009 – Saturday
My friends and I went to Borobudur and Prambanan Temple. My First time! I was so happy finally I was able to see the famous Borobudur. We were lucky one of our friend was from travel agency. She took care of everything and we just shared the cost ^_^ Here some photos taken:
Look at it. The biggest temple in the world. We are lucky weather was cloudy.

Me trying to make a buddhist hand pose

Considered the top of the temple. Great view!

After that we rush to Prambanan Temple. Too bad it was still under renovation after so long >.< It was because the earthquake two years ago.

More pictures

And of course, it’s me again with

Wait for Part 2 !
The Horse, I am
I ask this question before in Plurk: “what animal resemble you the most and why?”
Not many people respoding
But guess the top 2 animals? wrong……. wrong….. again, wrong…….. The top two animals are.. Dog and Cat! Go click the link and see their reasons
If I need to answer the question, my answer will be a horse!

A horse? Yeah… Lately my life is all about working, working and working! I don’t hate it, I enjoy it. I amazingly have this enormous energy to keep working non stop! Lucky me
Don’t ask me to just sit without doing nothing (ok, sometimes I also need to rest :-p) I enjoy working, moving, be active!
Is there something to do with the fact that I am a Sagittarius?

Maybe yes, maybe not
Maybe you willing to let me know, what animal resemble you the most and why? Leave your comments
Anyway, just a little fact of Sagittarius person (at least me
)

Spooky Thrills in 7th Month
7th month is finally ended!! Let’s send all the ghosts to their sanctuary. Hopefully they eat enough ‘food’ and save enough ‘money’ to sustain until next year hahahaha
Wait. Why on earth I am talking about 7th month? It’s actually related to my last week activity: The spo0o0o0o0o0oky thrills in 7th month held by API.sg and 24seven.sg.
People say I was bo liao and got nothing better to do (I am very busy, hookay?), but these kind of activities that can keep your life exciting so you won’t back for good to your country (for foreigner) and say Singapore is boring :-p
It was actually above my expectation. It was not that spooky (for a brave heart like me :-p), it was fun, and it was educational. I am surprised they were very professional. Apparently, API has been doing this spooky tour for quite some time already.
Our first destination is Bukit Brown Cemetery. Dammit I forgot to take any picture huhuhu. We were divided into group of 4 and had to walk through the cemetery. I was in the same group with @musxzart and the other two girls (Sorry girls I forgot your names). We visited the tomb keeper house and it was really dark. There was a living human in there, lived with many pets and with no light at night! I still can’t believe in a modern country like Singapore you could meet this kind of person LOL.
Next destination is the-so-called most haunted place in Singapore, The Old Changi Hospital. My first time visiting this place. It was dark, a lot of graffiti and no living human around >.<

We formed a circle and tried to detect the ghost in 5 different ways:
Luckily the ghosts were very shy to show up to all the handsome guys and pretty girls there. (Shame on you, ghosts!!!)
We walked around (For SLA officer, we didn’t enter the building v=.=) and come out at Changi Chalet. These people are sleeping at night near the most haunted place in Singapore!! I’d better choose other chalets :-p
The Final Destination (not the movie) is Choa Chu Kang Cemetery! Surprise surprise, there were a lot of people there in the midnight!! Don’t ask me what they were doing there that involved lion dance :-p Steven, API chief cum our tour guide that night, told us a lot of stories about that cemetery and Singapore. Hats off for you

Last word is… If they happen to hold this kind of tour again, do not.. I repeat.. do not.. miss it !
And the cupcakes!

Science of motivation
I came across an interesting video about Dan Pink’s talk about Science of motivation on TED.com. It’s really giving an insight that reward system will not work if creative thinking is required to do work. The reward somehow will make our mind focus thus eliminate options/possibilities/creativity.
Then the question is, what will work? What can motivate and trigger creativity?

He mention three points:
- Autonomy: The urge to direct our own lives.
- Mastery: The desire to get better at something that matters.
- Purpose: The yearning to do what we do in the service of something larger than ourselves.
He also gave example for autonomy, Google! It’s been famous that Google let their staffs to do what they want to do in 20% of their working hours. And the result is, many of great Google’s apps were born during these 20% times. Too bad he didn’t explain more for the other two points. Maybe this is just a little preview on his coming book in Dec 2009. I would love to read and know more!
Enjoy the video.

Fireproof – Must watch movie for couples
The title explains it all. If you are a couple, especially Christian couple (yes, this is Christian movie), this is a must watch movie.
Read the plot here. I don’t want to copy paste the whole things in my blog.
Here some quote from wikipedia:
The movie has received extremely positive reviews from Christian groups. Greg Wright of ChristianCinema.com said, "...the best surprise of Fireproof is Cameron’s performance as Caleb. It’s far and away the best I’ve seen from a male lead this year..." A review by The Dove Foundation stated, "It is a wonderful movie with dashes of humor and plenty of drama including exciting rescue scenes." Michael Foust of the Baptist Press said: "I walked into the theater without any expectations, but walked out after the closing credits believing I had just seen perhaps the most convicting and inspiring film I had ever viewed. Fireproof isn't just a great Christian movie. It's a great movie. Period."
Say no more. The movie is simply touching. A perfect gift if you have friend who facing challenges in his/her marriage life.
God bless-
P.S: It’s totally okay if you are single and want to watch it. Hey, I am single and I watched it twice. At least you can learn how to be a good lover
Plurk Twitter Picnic Report

It was a great day, the weather was super nice, friendly companies and of course, cute doggies.
I summarize the picnic in one sentence hahahaha. Thanks to Daphne for organizing, and all photos credit goes to Nicholas. Thanks to those who purposely cooked for this picnic. Food was plenty and they tasted really good. I was surprised they were not only Internet addicts :-p
We had a good time. The boys were playing Monopoly Deal and rest were busy playing with dogs. Next time will be more planned, with games of course. And tag name! And plates :-p
I just found out that day dogs like to greet other dog by licking its bottom part. I was funny at the first time and someone said it’s kinda like sexual harassment hahahaha.
Why is dog’s tongue longer?
And here was my most favorite dog yesterday. QQ its name.

For more photos, check out Nic’s blog post
Don’t miss next outing, kay? Keep socializing, keep posting

Trekking at Choo Choo Trek
*cliing* An SMS received.
“Hi Sugiggs, wanna go trekking this Saturday? It’s called Choo Choo Trek, at King Albert Park.”
“Okay” I replied.
See, so easy to ask me out (for sport of course)
I reached too early and had my breakfast at McD. Finally Amelia showed up with 2 guys who I met before.
And the journey begun…
After walking a while, we reached a rail track:
Thank you Amelia and of course her 2 friends (sorry guys, I can’t remember your name)
Interesting way to spend my Saturday night. Now who says Singapore is boring?
